Global ecommerce site for Activision Blizzard games

STORY

Battle.net Shop is the destination to buy digital games and products from Blizzard Entertainment and select Activision titles. A key part of the Ecommerce vertical which I joined as the first Design Lead. I led a small team of designers through a department shift and various projects across multiple development teams as they adjusted to embedded designers and the design process in general.

I partnered closely with Ecommerce Tech Leads and Lead PMs to bring UX and UI to teams which rarely, if ever, had the benefit of such resources. With the Shop team I kicked off projects to improve the conversion rate of our product pages, get the entire site up to AA accessibility standards, and evaluate internal tooling projects. On other teams, I added additional payment methods for South Korea, initiated checkout improvements, and began A/B testing with Optimizely along our customer’s journey. I also worked closely with senior leadership to advocate design thinking and assist with department organization initiatives.
